I always wait till the last minute..

.. To whip out some handmade thing for my friends. 

My dear friend Jesse and his lovely wife, Amber, are expecting my future daughter-in-law very very soon. So I had to come up with something extra special for them!

It's a hand knit bunny lovie and a penguin pillow! I just love how soft they turned out. 

I really hope baby Abby LOVES them. :)

I'm working on Solomon's 3rd birthday present. He said he wanted a "green blanket". So I'm doing a cheating cathedral window quilt as you go blanket. 

At least I have Harry Potter to keep me company

Since it's freezing in Texas..

.. and since Neville destuffed his old doggie bed. I thought I would just MAKE another one. 

I kept all of the stuffing from the former bed (for no real reason) and kept it laying around in two garbage bags. 

I bought two super inexpensive towels from target and sewed up three of the sides with a zigzag stitch. 

Then I stuffed the old stuffing into it and sewed up the other end!

Easy as pie. And it only cost $8.

The poor pine trees just can't take it. All of the wet/freezing conditions we are having! (Mind you, the day before it was 80 degrees outside). 

Brrr. Too cold for this cat.
